Installation tips

1. Planning and installation instructions - substructure

To avoid uncertainty, misunderstandings and incorrect installation, we've compiled a few important points from the installation guide here.

  • Distance from cheek/side wall: For the door pivot point, allow a distance of approx. 5 mm from the cheek/side wall on 15 mm recessed cabinets
  • Compensating cover (1): If the cabinet body height is > 72 cm, the appliance must be mounted so that the appliance door is flush with the cabinet front at the bottom. Height compensation takes place above the appliance / below the worktop. For this purpose, please order a compensation cover of the appropriate size from the furniture manufacturer
  • Baseplate and ventilation grille (2) (except Platinum models) : Please use the skirting board and ventilation grille* from your kitchen manufacturer. The plinth should be 10 to 15 cm high and continuous in design. The size of the ventilation grille must correspond to the width of the appliance to ensure adequate airflow. * the ventilation grille supplied with the appliance is not designed to be integrated into a kitchen line
  • Baseboard recesses for underframes For all models with the AVU designation, a baseboard recess is available with dimensions H = 100mm - 150mm and a depth of up to 110mm
  • Important notes on ventilation (except Platinum model series) : Installing a wine cellar requires the same precautions in terms of air supply and exhaust as when installing a refrigerator. If the ventilation grille or the element provided for this purpose

2. Planning and installation instructions - installation

To avoid misunderstandings and incorrect installations, we've put together a few important points from the installation instructions for you.

There are many possible positions for recessed installation. If the aim is to be close to the oven/steamer/microwave, three positions are possible:

The installation of a wine cabinet above an oven/steamer/microwave, on the other hand, is out of the question. A strong heat source in the ventilation area of the wine cabinet can lead to overheating and total failure of the cooling system!

Incorrect installation may invalidate the warranty.

Ventilation - air inlet and outlet (except Platinum model series) :

Built-in models need sufficient ventilation. This requires an air inlet (1) in the appliance base and an air outlet (2) at the top, at the rear of the kitchen cabinet. The minimum ventilation cross-section for the inlet and outlet is 200 cm2 each (e.g. 40 mm*500 mm). These requirements also apply to the use of built-in models in a kitchen island, where a sufficiently large cut-out, including a ventilation grille, must be provided for the upper air outlet in the worktop or kitchen countertop
