Where can I find lava stones, racks, charcoal filters or any other spare part for my refrigerator?
- Accessories are available by placing an order with your after-sales representative.
- You can also customise your refrigerator with accessories that you can find at your dealer or at www.vinokado.com.

How long are spare parts available?
- Spare parts for our refrigerators are available for 5 years.

How can I order spare parts and where can I find technical information?
- Please consult our partner's website www.interfroidservices.fr for more information or contact their After-Sakes service at piecesdetachees@interfroidservices.fr.
- For any requests for technical information, you can contact +33 (0)8 21 21 84 49.

Amount of bottles held

Why does my refrigerator not hold as many bottles as was initially stated?
-The capacities that we mention are the result of tests made with a traditional 75 cl Bordeaux bottle. Therefore, it's possible that the final capacity is less than stated. For example, if you load the refrigerator exclusively with 75 cl Bourgogne bottles, you will notice that the capacity is 30% less than stated. Adding more racks also reduces the maximum capacity indicated.

What loading method should I use to stock the maximum amount of bottles in my refrigerator?
- Arrange the bottles by type, in simple stacks with the bottom of the bottle aimed at the back for the back row and in the opposite direction for the front row (according to model). Adjust the racks according to the size of your refrigerator and the shapes of your bottles.
- Head to tail or bottom to bottom (according to model), adjust the bottle arrangement according to their shape and length. Put at the back valuable bottles that need to age for a long time.

Sliding racks

Can I add sliding racks?
- Rails and racks can be ordered from your after-sales representative or on www.vinokado.com.
- Rails ref. RAILV3 can be adapted to COLLECTOR, PREMIUM and CLASSIC 2/62 racks.

Adding racks

Can I add racks to increase the capacity of my refrigerator?
- Yes, but you must understand that each additional rack will take the place of a row of bottles and the stocking capacity will therefore be reduced.
- The racks can be ordered through your After-Sales Service or at www.vinokado.com.

Humidity level too low

What is the average humidity level?
- A real wine refrigerator must be designed to guarantee the stability of an average humidity level between 50 and 75%.

Will a humidity level that is too low damage my wine?
-Don't worry. This phenomenon has little effect on wine: the cork is likely to dry out. Please contact your after-sales representative if the humidity level remains low.

How long have I had this wine refrigerator?
- Check that the charcoal filter is not too old (> 1 year). In the case where you have not changed it for 1 year, we suggest that you buy a new charcoal filter from your dealer or at www.vinokado.com to replace the old one.

How many readings were taken? With what type of unit?
- One reading per day is not enough (constant fluctuations). Take 1 reading every hour on average for 24 hours.
- Check the reliability and accuracy of the hygrometer. Use an electronic hygrometer with minimum and maximum readings and a remote display. If you refrigerator is equipped with a humidity level display, do not hesitate to use it.

What is the reading on the thermostat? What is the temperature in the refrigerator?
- The higher the temperature in the refrigerator is, the higher the humidity level reading will be.
- Check that the door seal is not worn out and seals your refrigerator perfectly.

Where is my refrigerator located?
- If the refrigerator is placed in a closed room, aerate the room frequently.
- If the refrigerator is placed in an unheated room, for a certain period of the year (mainly in the spring or the autumn) your refrigerator will be put on stand-by and the green and red lights will turn off. This phenomenon is normal because the ambient temperature is equal to the temperature set on refrigerator, and the humidity level will match that of the room. The refrigerator will start again once there is a +/- 2°C difference between the ambient and set temperatures.

If the humidity level remains too low:
- Put a bowl of water in your refrigerator and wait for the water to completely evaporate in order to raise the humidity level.

Humidity level too high

What is the average humidity level?
- A real wine refrigerator must be designed to guarantee the stability of an average humidity level between 50 and 75%.

Can a humidity level that is too high damage my wine?
- Don't worry. This situation has minimal effect on wine. The worst that could happen is that the labels begin to peel off the bottles. Protective spray for the labels is commercially available. Please contact your after-sales representative if the humidity level remains too high.

How long have I had this wine refrigerator?
- Check that the charcoal filter is not too old (> 1 year). In case the case where you have not changed it for 1 year, we suggest that you buy a new charcoal filter from your dealer or at www.vinokado.com to replace the old one.

This phenomenon is normal because the ambient temperature is equal to the temperature set on refrigerator, and the humidity level will match that of the room. The refrigerator will start again once there is a +/- 2°C difference between the ambient and set temperatures.

If you already put a bowl of water in your refrigerator:
-Take out the bowl that you put in your refrigerator and wait for the humidity level to drop.

Variations in temperature

The temperature of the refrigerator varies constantly. Is this normal?
- Yes. It varies according to the compressor cycles (or the winter system). It's through minor variations in temperature over short periods that the average temperature can be maintained.
- In terms of the temperature, the digital display is only an indicator of the ambient temperature inside the refrigerator and not a thermometer that measures the temperature of the wine in the bottle. The indicator therefore has a +/-2°C margin. Due to the inert mass of liquid, the temperature of liquid varies 10 times less than the temperature of ambient air.

Temperature too low

How can I be sure that the temperature isn't too low?
- The most practical solution is to put the underwater thermometer (pool specific one, for example) in a glass bottle filled with water to have the exact temperature of liquid in the refrigerator. The reading must be taken 24 hours after the refrigerator has been running. That way you can judge the proper adjustment of your refrigerator. If there is a large difference, contact your after-sales representative. The fitting the temperature recorder must be done by a technician.

Check the thermostat position:
- Turn the thermostat to a lower temperature (see manual).

The door doesn't close completely:
- Check that a bottle is not keeping the door from closing.
- Check the refrigerator wedge.
- Ice forming inside: unplug the refrigerator and let it defrost (see chapter 1.12 ICE INSIDE THE REFRIGERATOR). If the phenomenon continues, contact your after-sales representative.

Check the compressor:
- Check to see that it is not constantly running. If this is the case, unplug the refrigerator and call you after-sales representative.

Temperature too high

How do I if the temperature is too high?
- The most practical solution is to put the underwater thermometer (pool specific one, for example) in a glass bottle filled with water to have the exact temperature of liquid in the refrigerator. The reading must be taken 24 hours after the refrigerator has been running. That way you can judge the proper regulation of your refrigerator. If there is a large difference, contact your after-sales representative. The fitting the temperature recorder must be done by a technician.

Check the thermostat position:
- Turn the thermostat to a higher temperature (see manual).

The door doesn't close completely:
- Check that a bottle is not keeping the door from closing.
- Check the refrigerator wedge.

Check the compressor:
- Check to see that it is not constantly running. If this is the case, unplug the refrigerator and call you after-sales representative.

The adjustment of your refrigerator is mechanical:
- Remember that there is a +/- 2°C margin between the desired temperature and the displayed temperature.

Quiet refrigerator

Is it normal that the refrigerator makes no sound?
- Yes. if the refrigerator is placed in an unheated room, during a certain period of the year (mainly in the spring or the autumn) your refrigerator will be out on stand-by and the green and red lights will turn off. This phenomenon is normal because the ambient temperature is equal to the temperature set on refrigerator, and the humidity level will match that of the room. The refrigerator will start again once there is a +/- 2°C difference between the ambient and set temperatures.
- If the ambient temperature of room where the refrigerator is found is about 12°C (+/- 2°C) and is in any case less than 12°C. Only the compressor makes noise and its only function is cooling production. Therefore, it's normal in these ambient conditions to not hear any noise since the wine refrigerator doesn't need to produce any cooling.
- If the ambient temperature is consistently less than 9°C, then it's the hot air circuit that takes over (red/orange light turns on, depending on the model) and the heating is performed by an electric resistance. The refrigerator there is completely silent.

Odours, mould, peeling labels

What causes bad smells, mould, and label peeling?
- A humidity level that's too high (see chapter 1.2 HUMIDITY LEVEL TOO HIGH).
- A saturated charcoal filter: must be changed once a year. You can find them through your dealer or at www.vinokado.com.
- The room is not aerated well enough.
- Basic maintenance has not been performed regularly. To do that, we advise you before the first use to clean to regularly clean the inside and outside (front and side panels and the top) with a mix of lukewarm water and light-duty cleaning products. Rinse with just water and make sure it is completely dry before plugging it in again. Do not use abrasive agents or solvents.
- Check to see that your bottles are not in direct contact with the back wall of your refrigerator.

Water in the bottom of the refrigerator

How long have you this wine refrigerator?
- Check that the charcoal filter is not too old (> 1 year).

Is the drain blocked?
- The drainage hole located bottom drainage channel of your refrigerator must not be blocked so that water can drain to the back of the refrigerator and into the plastic container above the compressor. You don't need to empty the back container because the heat from the compressor will make the collected water evaporate.

Is the refrigerator level?
- It is important to tilt your refrigerator to the back a little bit (on the feet under the refrigerator) to make the water go into the drainage hole and not into the bottom of your refrigerator, which could affect your wine bottles. If water continues to collect in the bottom of the refrigerator, contact your after-sales representative.

Winter system

What is the winter system/kit (depending on the model) and how does it work?
- The winter kit is a defrosting system that allows the refrigerator to function in an environment where the temperature is between 0 and 32°C. A sensor located outside the refrigerator activates an electric resistance when the ambient temperature of the room is between 4 and 8°C, depending on the model. This resistance is low power to avoid intense increases and limits rapid drops in temperature of the wine and prevent thermal shocks that could harm the conversation process of the wine.
- The system is pre-set at the factory: it is activated when the refrigerator's internal temperature reaches 9°C. The user cannot make any changes to the settings except on models from the AVINTAGEâ„¢ range, equipped with the INTELITHERM electronic control system (see the specific manual).
- Remember that if the ambient temperature is between 8 and 10°C, the winter system will not be activated.

The cave no longer makes any noise:
- It's normal. The winter kit is working through a resistance, which works silently.

What do the lit up red and orange lights mean?
- The hot air circuit is running and reheating is underway.

What do the turned off red and orange lights mean?
- That's normal. The hot air circuit works intermittently according to thermostat readings.

How can I be sure that the winter system is working correctly?
- First make sure that the ambient temperature of the refrigerator is below 8°C and defrosted.
- Check the internal and external temperature. If the internal temperature is higher, reheating is underway: the resistance has low power to avoid any thermal shock and to supply an internal temperature at the right level (12°C +/- 2°C).
- Avoid opening the door too often. It wastes energy.

Noises and rattling

I hear noises of gas circulating in the pipes. Is that normal?
- Noises are normal when the gas pressure is released and "rumbling" sounds are characteristic of refrigeration appliances using compressors and therefore can occur. This is normal

Charcoal filter

How often must I change the charcoal filter?
- We suggest that you change your charcoal filter once a year. You can find them through your dealer or at www.vinokado.com.

What is the procedure for changing the charcoal filter?
- Push it from the inside to the outside and conversely, depending on the factory installation (towards the wider side).
- If you are having trouble removing the filter, do not hesitate to tap it a bit to disengage it from the insulation.

What direction should I put the new one in?
- Your charcoal filter must be inserted according the initial factory recommendations. We suggest that you remember how your filter was installed before taking it out and changing it.

Ice inside the refrigerator

There is ice at the bottom of the refrigerator. Is that normal?
- Frost can form during when the refrigerator is being cooled down. When the compressor stops, the frost melts and the droplets remain on the walls. This is normal.
- Make sure that door is properly closed.
- Check that the compressor is not constantly running. If this is the case, unplug the refrigerator and call you after-sales representative.

Icicles formed between the back wall and the bottles. What should I do?
-Leave an inch or two between the bottles or racks and the back of the refrigerator.
- In the case where a block of ice has formed and does not melt away, contact your after-sales representative.

The compressor does not run constantly

Is it normal that the compressor in my refrigerator does not run constantly?
- It's completely normal that compression is not constantly running. In terms of the length of the cooling cycle, it depends on the difference between the set temperature and the ambient temperature. The cooling cycle should be longer if the surrounding temperature is higher than the set temperature, rather than if the difference between the two temperatures is much smaller. You can have a 30-minute cooling cycle or one for several hours.

Is it normal that the compressor turns on regularly?
- In terms of the length of the cooling cycle, it depends on the difference between the set temperature and the ambient temperature. Check for the following circumstances before doing any maintenance:
- A large quantity of bottles were placed in the refrigerator.
- The refrigerator is frequently opened.
- The door is not closed properly.
- The door seal is airtight.
- If you have any doubts, please contact your after-sales representative.

Error message

What to do in case of an error message.
- If a message error appears, we suggest that contact your after-sales representative.
- You can also consult the website of our partner www.interfroidservices.fr where you can read about the error codes along with all the technical documentation.

Humidity level too low

Where is my refrigerator located?
- If the refrigerator is placed in a closed room, aerate the room frequently.

At the first use, during the driest times of the year and when the winter system is running:
- Moisten the lava stones. You need to spread them out on the compressor, along the gutter without blocking the drainage hole. You can also place them in a box specifically designed for this purpose

Identical upper and lower temperatures

If the temperatures are the same on all the shelves, is the unit broken?
- No, not for temperatures between 10° and 14°C with the compressor not running or when the winter kit is running because its resistance, located in the bottom system of the refrigerator, generates through a natural phenomenon (warm air being lighter than cool air) minor air convention inside the refrigerator, which temporarily interrupts the normal multi-temperature layering. As soon as the compressor begins the cooling process, the layering comes back naturally.

Quiet refrigerator

Is it normal that my refrigerator is completely silent?
- Yes. if the refrigerator is placed in an unheated room, at a certain time of year (mainly in the spring and the autumn), you refrigerator will be put on stand-by. This phenomenon is normal because the ambient temperature is equal to the temperature set on refrigerator, and the humidity level will match that of the room. The refrigerator will start again once there is a +/- 2°C difference between the ambient and set temperatures.

Snowflake symbols

In terms of the appearance of the following symbols (depending on the model), there is no need to worry:
- Blinking snowflake symbol = the refrigerator needs more cooling and is going to turn on soon.
- Fixed snowflake symbol = the compressor is running, and refrigerator is cooling.
- Fixed heating symbol = the refrigerator is producing heat because the interior temperature is too low. (generally occurring in winter).

Odours, mould, peeling labels

What causes bad smells, mould, and label peeling?
- Humidity level too high (see chapter 2.2 HUMIDITY LEVEL TOO HIGH)
- A saturated charcoal filter: must be changed once a year. You can find them through your dealer or at www.vinokado.com.

- Check to see if the charcoal filter is not too old (> 1 year).

Charcoal filter

How often must I change the charcoal filter?
- We suggest that you change your charcoal filter once a year. You can find them through your dealer or at www.vinokado.com.

How many charcoal filters are there in my refrigerator?
- Check the number of the series: up to 412 two filters (1 on top and 1 below) after this number, there's only one charcoal filter on top.
- The filter(s) is visible in the upper left part (and lower left if there are two filters) at the back of the refrigerator (a round, black plastic piece). Inside that, the filter(s) is hidden by the evaporator-guard on the right side.

What is the procedure for changing the charcoal filter?
- Push it from the inside to the outside and conversely, depending on the factory installation (towards the wider side.
- If you are having trouble removing the filter, do not hesitate to tap it a bit to disengage it from the insulation.

Lava stones

Where should I put the lava stones?
- You need to spread them out on the compressor, along the gutter without blocking the drainage hole.
- You can also place them in a box specifically designed for this purpose.

Do I have to moisten them constantly?
- No. Only for the first time, when the winter kit is running (depending on the model) and during the driest times of the year.

How often do I have to change and where can I buy them?
- In general every 3 or 4 years, when they've become brittle and no longer absorb moisture.
- They are available through your dealer's after-sales service, you can also find them at www.vinokado.com.

- Check that the door seal is not worn out and seals you refrigerator perfectly.

Where is my refrigerator located?
- If the refrigerator is placed in a closed room, aerate the room frequently.

How can I increase the humidity in my refrigerator?
- It's not a model with naturally controlled humidity levels.
- We suggest that you always keep a container or containers of water inside the refrigerator or place a bowl of water inside. Wait for the water to evaporate completely to increase the humidity level.

Humidity level too high

What is the average humidity level?
- A real wine refrigerator must be designed to guarantee the stability of an average humidity level between 50 and 75%.

- If the refrigerator is placed in a closed room, aerate the room frequently.

How can I reduce the humidity level in my refrigerator?
- It's not a model with naturally controlled humidity levels.
We suggest that you do not keep a water container in the refrigerator (depending on the model) or remove the bowl of water that you already placed inside.

Temperature too low or too high

Can I put my refrigerator in an unheated room?
- No, these models must be placed in a room with a temperature between 16° - 32°C (depending on the model). They are not equipped with a winter system.

How can I be sure that the temperature is not too low or too high?
- The most practical solution is to put the underwater thermometer (pool specific one, for example) in a glass bottle filled with water to have the exact temperature of liquid in the refrigerator. The reading must be taken 24 hours after the refrigerator has been running. That way you can judge the proper adjustment of your refrigerator. If there is a large difference, contact your after-sales representative. The fitting the temperature recorder must be done by a technician.

The temperatures do not correspond to my choice of settings:
- Check that the setting was adjusted previously.
- For some double-zone models, you need to keep the temperatures within a minimum difference of 4°C between the two compartments when choosing two different temperatures (see manual).
- In terms of the temperature, the digital display is only an indicator of the ambient temperature inside the refrigerator and not a thermometer that measures the temperature of the wine in the bottle. The indicator therefore has a +/-2°C margin. Due to the inert mass of liquid, the temperature of liquid varies 1 times less than the temperature of ambient air. For some models, the choice of the unit of measure for the temperature can be in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit (see manual). Therefore, adjust the display setting.

Odours, mould, peeling labels

What causes bad smells, mould, and label peeling?
- A humidity level that's too high (see chapter 2.2 HUMIDITY LEVEL TOO HIGH).
- A limited exchange of air when the door is opened because of the absence of a charcoal filter.

Noises

I very often hear a hissing noise. Is that normal?
- The ventilators generate a normal exhaust sound, with its intensity varying depending on the model and the number of ventilators.
- For built-under counter implanted models, check to see that no installation material is touching the condenser ventilator (at the back of the unit near the compressor). This can lead to noise.

Warm sides

The sides of my refrigerator are warm. Is that normal?
- Yes. The condenser is in the insulation material. A calorie exchange occurs. Heat is taken out to produce cooling.

Door reversibility

Can I reverse the swing direction of my refrigerator's door?
Yes (depending on the model). We suggest that you consult the manual for your refrigerator.
